"CTIP 2" Launches Next Week

Earlier this month we were pleased to announce that the Course Technology Innovation Program (CTIP), piloted last year as a Wildcat Innovation Fund project, is being continued for 2010-2011. CTIP is organized by NMU’s Course Technology Alliance (CTA), a team composed of members from AIS and LRD who provide support for various educational technologies to the NMU community.

The 2010-2011 offering of CTIP will focus on the design, development, and teaching of  online courses. Each member of the 2010-2011 CTIP faculty cohort will develop and teach at least one newly online course or make major revisions and improvements to a course he/she previously taught online. Cohort members make commitments to learn about, implement, and share experiences with course technology. Cohort members receive a cash stipend, as well as financial support for educational technology professional development opportunities.

We have a cohort of seven faculty members ready to begin their CTIP experience next week in a series of kick-off workshops.
